Surrender of money-back insurance policies?
I have two money-back insurance policies worth a lac each bought more than five years ago: one from LIC and the other from Kotak. I have always paid the premiums regularly and also received the first cheque of about Rs20K from both the companies early this year. I also have term assurance and so want to surrender the money-back policies. I am planning to invest the MB premium money in bonds and, or mutual funds. I would like to know the procedure to surrender the money-back policies and know approximately how much shall the companies pay me back after surrendering the policies. Thanks.
